September 25th 1998 I was guiding some guests at a tent camp on a small lake. We were just finishing dinner when a spectacular display of Aurora began to burn across the whole sky, from south to north. And it burned intensely until dawn. Our Auroras can be beautiful but they're usually green. This one had that full spectrum, all the colours of the rainbow. I've never experienced such an intense and colourful Aurora that went on for so long. Unforgetable. That's Jupiter in the top right. |
